Current/Upcoming Shows: My next exhibit will be at the Morgan-Wixson Theater located at 2627 West Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica. The Opening Night Receptions will be on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Paintings will be displayed in the Lobby Gallery throughout the Performance of "The Secret Garden" which closes on April 12
About my work: As a child, I always loved to draw and paint. In college, I majored in Art & then became a High School Art Teacher. I started painting while traveling around the world during school vacations and eventually became a lecturer on cruise ships. On stage, I paint scenes from the ports we've just visited, while telling exciting travel adventues. It's a fun way to see the world and meet so many interesting people. I recently retired from teaching in June 2008 so that I'll have more time to travel and paint. Most of my paintings are a combination of waterolors with pen and ink details. In July, I went to Machu Picchu, Peru and to the Galapagos Islands. In October I cruised throughout the Mediterranean and then I spent December & January in Australia. I've completed 35 new paintings which will be displayed in my upcoming Art Exhibit in Santa Monica, California.

Past Clients and Projects include: I did a painting from the West end of Pico, looking East. It included both Shutters at the Beach and Casa del Mar Hotels. It was purchased by Shutters & is hanging in their Executive Office. I did another painting in Santa Monica of the California Incline and sold the original to a Law Firm. As the artist, I've retained the right to sell Giclee reproductions of this painting.
I chose this occupation because: I've always loved Art, travel, and meeting people from around the world.
The best lesson I ever learned was: Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass,
it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Wow!!! Your work is so serene, calm, peaceful. They say "relaxation." Very beautiful watercolors. I felt like I was back home in the West Indies. Lovely work. Lovely!!
oh, this stuff is really great. i lived in charleston years ago, and there is a huge watercolor movement going on there. some great artists, but none have anything on you. an artist like yourself would be fun just to plop down in different settings and say 'go!'
