November 30   4:30pm-6:00pm   Free

Benita Bike's DanceArt presents an interactive dance performance that delights and inspires on Thursday, November 30, 4:30 pm at Los Angeles Mission College’s Campus Center Building. Join members of the community and Mission College students and faculty in this unique dance experience! The College is located at 13356 Eldridge Ave., Sylmar, 91342. This program is funded, in part, by the California Arts Council, the City of Los Angeles’ Department of Cultural Affairs, and Los Angeles Mission College AGS Honor Society. This is a FREE performance!

Benita Bike’s DanceArt is a five-member modern dance company that receives praise for its beautiful, polished concert work and its extensive community outreach programming. Like a string quintet, the dancers of Benita Bike’s DanceArt perform with uncommon sensitivity to one another, bringing intense beauty and vibrancy to each delicately crafted, expressive movement. During its 37 years, the Company has performed throughout California, New England, the Southwest, and in Europe.

For this performance, Benita Bike’s DanceArt will perform poignant “For Rose” – a meditation on death and loss, the high energy and propulsive “On Beat 3,” and “Pushing Time,” a quintet that pulses dramatically across the stage to the sounds of modern organ music.
