My profession:
Photography
About my work:
I did fine arts and portrait work for a long time, and I find that sort of "creeping into" my food photography. I love everything about shooting food--the colors, the highlights, shadows, shapes, forms, textures...you name it, I love it. And I'm becoming a true foodie through my love of shooting food. I love learning more about this wonderful stuff that not only keeps people alive...but makes life more enjoyable.

I chose this occupation because:
I love photography, and cooking.
The best lesson I ever learned was:
If you want to do photography, find your true interests in life. Find out what you love enough to shoot it. If you love clothes, shoot fashion. If you love kids, do child photography. Find your "true interest" first...then shoot.
The greatest influence on my work is:
Lou Manna, nationally-known food photographer, a terrific teacher, and all-around good person. I want to be Lou when I grow up!
Why you'd want to hire me:
I specialize in food photography. And if you specialize in something, you'll focus on doing a good job on it. Unlike many other photographers, I don't do it as a "sideline." It's all I do professionally, and I'm proud to say that. And I like making food look inviting, and real. I make food look like something you would actually want to eat--and that's the whole point of food photography. I also show images of people eating and enjoying food, because...it's the stuff of life.
