Call for Artists

This Fall 3S Artspace will present 21 Rooms at The Nevada Motel, a production of the 3S OPEN SPACE series. Quinn Corey, a long-time creative presence in the emerging arts scene in Providence, RI, will be guest curating alongside 3S Creative Director, John Gayle. The show will transform the Nevada Motel, an Art Deco treasure laden with history on Long Sands Beach in beautiful York, Maine, into a unique, one-night experience featuring art ranging from installation to performance to video. Artists will be afforded a room for two nights, serving as a mini-residency or acting as a studio. On the second evening, two stories of rooms will be presented as mini-galleries and opened to the public. Live music, food and drink will accompany the show. Free for both artists and attendees, 21 Rooms at The Nevada Motel will provide the broader Sea Coast community a taste of the 3S vision.

Quinn Corey is an Artist and Arts Organizer who has lived and worked in Providence, RI for the past 10 years. As a member of the Providence Initiative for Psychogeographic Studies, Quinn helped organize and participated in Provflux II-V, an annual festival for participatory art, and his own work has been exhibited throughout the United States. Quinn creates psychedelic pop-art, images, sculptures, and installations inspired by the graphic language of spectacular culture. Currently Quinn is a founding member of Color Force Contemporary, an Artist's Studio, Exhibition Space and Residency Program in Fall River, MA.

3S is a start-up nonprofit contemporary arts organization in Portsmouth, NH dedicated to establishing a 300 capacity performance space, art gallery and farm-to-table restaurant in a currently derelict historic brewery building in the city's downtown.
