"Where there is so little social cohesion dissension inevitably takes the form of a struggle between rich and poor which finally degenerates into class war."-Lee

I'm not asking anything, I'm just saying

We fall so hard a knee replacement is common place, back pain is honest living, and that same day you lived yesterday, is the same day you live today, is the same day you live tomorrow. We fall so hard we borrow strength from the idea of freedom that bleeds us red until we're blue in the face; at this pace we fall so hard injustice is salvation.
As we fall we start to lose our gravitation for what seems like a brief moment of flight, and we think to ourselves, "this is it, we finally beat gravity!" Then sadly we realize that although we won this brief battle, somethings in Life will always be a constant struggle that at times is not worth fighting. Mid-air, Gravity once again battles for control of our body and this time we are unequipped to quarrel with her constant tugging, at which point our brief moment of flight ends as we realize, by virtue of human error, that in fact we are not flying but falling. This moment of realization strikes panic in some, fear in others, and the admittance of defeat accompanied by a wave of calm in others; sucking down pure oxygen to calm the nerves because in the event of a mayday we are forced to realize how powerless we really are.
We fall so hard that lip rips and tooth chips are no longer trademarks reserved only for the ruthless, now even those we have put our trust in are beginning to show their bruises. These bruises were neither bravely won battling for the true freedom of truth, nor while protecting the right for us to love the life that we live, instead of living to love life for what we think life truly is- one purchase after another.
The bruises beginning to show on those we put our trust in were quietly earned as we allow favors to be traded in return for friendship, at which point we have convinced ourselves we are no longer in this together; so we put our heads down and press on, we're going the distance. Self-righteousness trumps love, even that of your brothers and sisters, when we begin to care more for how far we've come and less for how we got here.
We can't handle dreaming in the modern world, we want to live the American Dream so we better ourselves at the expense of others. At this pace helping your fellow brother with a hiccup, has wrongly turned into "survival of the fittest" as we turn our shoulders, hang our heads along side our hats drapped over work boots , and continue towards the finish, we think is in the distance. When really the finish is right here, we stop the race when we drop out to help our brothers and sisters.
We fall so hard that this becomes a warning to the misfits and outcasts, cast out for not fitting in, for not being the round peg we constantly try to fit through the same damn square hole again and again.
"For those that liked the same sex
Had the characteristics
The right wing conservatives think it's a decision
And you can be cured with some treatment and religion
Man-made rewiring of a predisposition
Playing God, aw nah here we go
America the brave still fears what we don't know
And God loves all his children, is somehow forgotten
But we paraphrase a book written thirty-five-hundred years ago
I don't know"
Macklemore- Same Love

Our idea of freedom comes at the cost of constant judgement.
But we can live above this with love.

3.3 million might disagree with me, I probably would too if I could afford it, but the problem with a minority, is that there's 226.7 million others who may get tired of the wealthy authority. Politicians with six figure salaries act cowardly to protect their own self-image, mean while volunteers are willing and determined to fight through all the grim and dirt, they put in real work, because goals and passions are not worth anything you can offer.
What if politics were voluntary, not salary. What if those who wanted to make a difference in this country volunteered for these positions, knowing they won't be paid a dime, but doing so anyway because they truly love their country and will volunteer at no expense, because they understand we're all in this together. I had a teacher once who said, "I don't play the what if game," so instead I sit waiting for the day we get tired of falling and 226 million rise up and instead of continuing the same old race, maybe well try a new pace placing hand in hand.
Maybe we'll face our limitations and instead of being civilized we can be human. Instead of being forced to buy into a broken system, maybe our ability to love will whisper words of wisdom into the ears of our children, carrying the message into the distance and spreading love and forgiveness like a wildfire. We want change, but it's our lifestyle that ensures that things remain the same. But we can all take the blame, apologize and forgive our neighbors, learn to love our community, and try something new. So I'm not asking you I'm just saying, I'll show you my trust with hopes that one day you might show me yours; we're all in this together and we have a chance to create something beautiful.
How I would make this world a better place
give my everything.
Who and what I'm looking for
devoted individuals for change.
