As a child I was raised to respect adults and take their word as truth. As an adult I've learned better, now I listen to children. I believe that idealism is the only real way to happiness. Last great book I read was
'My Name is Asher Lev'. Excellent book. I grew up drawing and painting...and reading as a way of traveling with my imagination. '...Asher Lev' reminded me of what it feels like, what it felt like as a kid to know you were "different". Enjoyed 'Vernon God Little', wacky ride, and just finished 'Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'...awesome.Update: just finished the whole Millenium series. A great ride, though the first (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) is still the best.

If I had the absolute power? Hmmm. I'd ban organized religion from being involved in governing the populace, although I am religious myself. I would demand universal health care, and guarantee an education for all those who desired one. One thing I'd like to do before I leave this earth
