About my work: I am a professional editor and writer. I've been published in several publications including, the Near West Gazette, Lawndale News, West Side Times, and Latina Style. I write feature stories in a broad range of styles and fields. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish. I'm a graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaing, and am currently applying to grad schools.

I chose this occupation because: I love to write. I love meeting people and the profession where I'm at. I enjoy the diversity and being able to travel and meet new people and write passionately about different topics.
The best lesson I ever learned was: You always have to work hard and work from the bottom up. With hard work, you can achieve almost anything.
The greatest influence on my work is: My mother and my college rhetoric teacher. They're both amazing women who I am very proud to consider my mentors and friends.
