My Vision of Peace
Gaza is a small strip of land, about 32 miles long and an average of 7 miles wide, which is on the Mediterranean Sea. Because Gaza is walled in on all sides and it's nearly impossible for most to leave, the ocean is one of the few places that feels free.

When the sun sets, you'll usually find kids at the beach playing and adults looking outward, dreaming of distant shores. The feeling of calm is hard-won -- the waters off the coast of Gaza are patrolled by the Israeli Navy, strictly enforcing the six nautical mile border -- there are no boats, fishing or otherwise, allowed past this line.

I spend a lot of time at the beach, laughing with my children and dreaming of better days -- days when there are no walls and the children of the world can play together, freely, on Gaza Beach.
