My Vision of Peace
When the sad and ugly events of Charlottesville unfolded a few weeks ago, I remembered this little song I learned in Sunday school back in the 1950's. It has since stuck in my head like a mantra against hatred and racism. The irony is that the church where I learned this little song was located across the street from a new fancy neighborhood that had an entrance sign that read "Welcome to Innis Arden, a restricted residential community". Thank goodness ,that sign is long gone! We can only unite for peace if we leave old attitudes and hypocrisy behind us.

Medium
Acrylic and collage on canvas
