My Vision of Peace
This wall is part of a blown-out building in an abandoned lot between the old city and Jaffa harbor in Israel. Jaffa is where Jonah is said to have set sail and was swallowed by a whale. While this graffiti is only one page on a crumbling old wall, it speaks volumes: we too will be swallowed up by war if we don't find a way to embrace the bouquet of peace, love, and understanding. It's interesting to note that a whale's gullet can't pass a human arm -- thus, the one reaching over the wall with the flowers in hand, symbolizes what may be our last chance for survival.

I don't know who did but I certainly agree with them; it's in a Muslim section of the city so my guess is that the artist is Palestinian, more importantly, human with a big heart.
