My Vision of Peace
I am a Marine veteran and have a desire to reveal the cost of war on the warriors, the men women and boys, who fight the conflicts and suffer emotionally and physically. My intent is to open a window into the lives of those who serve and pay the price. The innocents are not the only ones who suffer the horrors of war. Many of these veterans come home and are ignored, forgotten and end up on the mean streets, homeless. Understanding the complete human toll can help move the world toward peace and a better way of resolving conflicts.

Medium
Pen and ink wash is the media I have chosen for the peace project. I use dip pens and black ink to draw my images on watercolor paper. I use water and brushes to make the ink lines bleed for shading as well as diluted ink for gradation of tone. The results are much like an Intaglio print.
