My Vision of Peace
Although many children with Down Syndrome are treated "differently" in the public eye, they are often the happiest, joyful and most peaceful people this world has to offer. Through adversity, they keep a positive uplifting spirit about them. This photography embraces that innocent and peaceful nature and is something I think we can all learn from.

Although I don't have firsthand experience, I've heard the same thing...in fact my doctor who has a Downs Syndrome child has shared with me how some people opt to adopt Downs children for this reason. Really makes you think that contrary to societal belief that perhaps these children are more advanced in certain respects than we would ever believe.

What a beautiful photo and unique perspective. Thanks for sharing.

god, this is great. touching. and the rail makes it appear that she is somewhat behind bars. but still a beautiful image. wish you had gotten both of her feet in frame.

Beautifully framed. To me the railing represents the slow twist of the mind that makes her world different. Yet the expression is one of peace. I love the bare feet.

This has to be one of my favorites, children with down syndrome have the biggest hearts, open mind and warmest smiles so much more advanced than most of the world. (firsthand experience)
Thanks for sharing!
