My Vision of Peace
Personally I have always seen the horse as a global symbol of power and wealth but also of unification.

At racing tracks all over the world so much money is staked by rich and poor alike and men become class-less as they are bonded purely by the thrill of seeing horses run. An Arab will cheer alongside an Irishman as their steed crosses the winning line.

No matter who the horse works for, a racing yard in Dubai or a man on the street in Mumbai, he carries his burden peacefully. He has the power in his body to easily kill a man yet chooses not to for some reason , even when treated cruelly and beaten and even when made to fight. Think of the war horses. The horse is not a warring animal but a peaceful one - it is the fighter on his back who is at war.

A horse can be a wild mustang in America or a dressage star in Sweden. Whatever he does he is admired for his beauty and strength. World leaders have often gifted horses to each other as peace offerings. For example in 1956 The Russians gave the Queen of England an Akal Teke.

Man makes a lot of money from the trading of horses but what does the horse get out of it? Shelter, food? We already know a horse can find these things for himself. Why does he allow humans to tame him and take such domestication so gracefully and peacefully? Is the horse ultimately also a symbol of peace?
